God\'s Formula For Prosperity and Success
Everyone wants to be successful. There are hundreds of books on how to be successful, however the only success you should desire is success according to God.
We find the words success and prosperity throughout the Bible. I believe our loving Father wants us to be successful and be prosperous.
Psalm 35: 27 says, “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause; yes let them say continually, let the Lord be magnified which has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”
If you think this word, prosperity, is talking about something other than what we think it means, it is the word, shalom, which means riches, honor, health, peace, joy, fulfillment, etc. These are all good things and God wants you to have them.
I have found in most places of the Bible, there are conditions listed in order for one to have this shalom. We can call them, God’s formula for success.
Deuteronomy 8: 18 “ but thou shalt remember the Lord thy God, for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth…”
I believe this power that God gives us to get wealth are the conditions He gives us to get wealth.
Psalm 1 says that we are blessed if we do not walk according to the counsel of the ungodly, nor walk in the way of the sinner, nor sit in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. When these conditions are met we are like a tree planted by the rivers of water. We will always bear fruit in our season. His leaf will not wither (health) and all we do shall prosper.
Job 36: 11 “If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures.” Condition and promise.
Psalm 112: 1 Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that fears the Lord; that delights greatly in his commandments.
Vs. 3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house.
Being generous in your giving is also a condition that will cause you to prosper and have success
Proverbs 3: 9 – 10 tells us that if we honor the Lord with our substance and the first fruits of our increase our storehouses will be overflowing and all that we do will be successful. (our presses shall burst out with new wine).
There are so many more scriptures that show us His conditions for prosperity and success.
God blesses those who fulfill His conditions for prosperity and success. His blessing of prosperity and success is to show others the benefits of serving Him.
When God blesses us He expects us to bless others. We are blessed to be a blessing.
