ACCEPT YOUR INHERITANCE
There are some interesting truths stated in Gal. 4:
4 - 7. Here are the Biblical facts:
1. Those who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior are redeemed
from the Law: essentially from the consequences of not
being able to keep the law. (see Gal. 3: 13).
2. We receive the adoption of sons (or daughters) by God.
3. We have been given the right to call Father God, Abba,
or Daddy.
4. We no longer servants but sons.
5. We are called heirs of God.
Here is an interesting truth: being an heir is not something
you earn. You are an heir to someone by relationship and
by position. In the natural we are usually related to
the person who considers us an heir. That is a relationship
by blood. In this case we are related to God by the blood
of Jesus.
We are also considered an heir of God by our position.
These scriptures say that we have been adopted as sons.
When someone is adopted they are usually hand picked by
the adopting parents. You were handpicked by God to be
his child. Now because you are his handpicked child you
are eligible for the inheritance as an heir appointed
by God.
Many Christians believe that we only receive our inheritance
after we die. Yes we do. We receive eternal life. However
as it is in the natural the inheritance is distributed
at the death of the one who appointed you an heir.
According to the Word of God found in Heb. 9: 15 - 17
Jesus was the testator or the giver of the inheritance
and after He died the inheritance was made available to
those would accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
So what is our inheritance? All that is promised to you
in the Word of God. Have you read the will yet? Have you
found what is yours? Have you accepted what Jesus Christ
died to provide for you in this life and the next?
Read the will!!
